Skincare Mondays: Caudalie Skincare Haul For Oily To Combination Skin
Posted On April 22, 2013 | No Comments

Hello my beautiful ladies, I know you have missed me. So long ago, I decided to do skincare Mondays and I never stuck to it. Well this is my first attempt at skincare Mondays. I recently did a skincare video about how to do a facial at home. Now, I am not saying that you should no longer or not go to a spa. You need professional help for microdermabresion, chemical peels, lactic peels and other treatments. However, in between spa visits you need to maintain at home. Today, I want to talk about what I bought this weekend at Sephora. There was a 15% VIB discount and I thought it was the perfect to get some products that I have been dying to buy for months. This is the list of my most wanted items: (1) Caudalie Le Premier Cru La Crème, (2) Caudalie Vinoperfect, (3) Caudalie Beauty Elixir, and (4) Ren Glycol Lactic Radiance Renewal Mask. I decided to get these items to help me fight the dark spots on my face, to brighten my skin, and also to maintain a healthy glow. Please keep in mind that I am oily to combination skin. My main area of concern when I consider which skincare product to purchase is my lovely T-Zone are.   376097_517644761625702_1576723064_n I am just going to tell you why I bought each item. Let’s start with Caudalie Le Premier Cru La Crème. I have been waiting for more than a year to buy but the price tag was too much for me. Although, I have regularly bought Bobbi Brown’s brightening serum which now retails for $105. I love that serum by the way. So I finally decided to buy it. I love the way it feels on my skin. It is too early to give any feedback yet. But I will report on it on it. 524798_517644738292371_1631620911_n My next purchase was the Caudalie Vinoperfect serum. I decided to buy this serum as a complement to Caudalie Le Premier Cru La Crème because it targets dark spots. I am obsessed with getting rid of my dark spots that came as a result of my pregnancy acne. Yes, two years later and I am still targeting or fighting acne scars on my skin. I must add that microdermabrasion helps a lot when you want to help your skin get rid of acne scars. 71428_517644788292366_1113589079_n-1 I also bought Caudalie Beauty Elixir that is also supposed to brighten your skin. There is a recurring theme here with all of my purchases: brightening! I have no shame. No this is a mist that you spray on your face before applying your moisturizer and crèmes. I love it. And it smells so good. 417950_517644731625705_1480488022_n A while ago, I also bought the Caudalie Crushed Cabernet Scrub. I love this scrub because it really does wonders for my skin. Instead of having beads to serve as the exfoliants, there are actually small chips of "wood" in there. Once you rinse it off, it turns into this beautiful milky solution. My skin loves it. 427903_517644718292373_1280373120_n So that’s it for now. I will write more about each product later on. But if you want to see each of these products in action, please watch the video. Thank you for your time.

Good afternoon everyone, I know. I know. I know. I am sorry. I know that this blog post as been long overdue, so let's get started. The jacket is from BEBE. Although it is no longer available online, if you got into any retail store you will find it in the back on a sales' rack. This jacket came in two different style but you still get the pannel look with the black sheer fabric. The top is called The Venus Bustier. This bustier is part of the Nasty Gal's Holiday Collection. You should check it out. The skirt is called Ecote Double Slit Maxi Skirt. It's from Urban Outfitters. The cuffs are from Forever21. Those I bought about a year ago. They reminded me of Xena, the warrior princess. The belt is from BCBG. In case you don't find it online, visit the closet BCBG boutique near you or a Lord and Taylor's store. The shoes are from Bakers Shoes. For those of you who have not yet seen the video, here it is.   Please remember to subscribe, if you not already a subscriber. And if you love the outfit, don't forget to hit the thumbs up button. Until my next blog post, I thank you for your support. Please kindly share this video on your facebook wall, your twitter feed, and even on instagram by taking a picture. Bisou. Bisou. Marlene

Salut tout le monde,   so in this post I decide to let you ladies know about how I give my skin a glow in order to prepare for any look book video or if I am wearing something quite revealing and I want the lights to reflect well against my skin. I truly believe that beauty is an illusion, so to that I say: May the best illusionist win! Since I want you to win, I have decided to share with you guys on of my secrets. I took me a year to know how to properly wear this product in order to achieve the best possible results. So my magic potion is going to be Nars' Body Illuminator in the shade "Laguna." Now if you are lighter than me, feel free to try a shade lighter. If you are darker than me, this will be just fine. I apply a generous amount on my body, especially on the parts of my body that will be revealed: legs, arms, neck, back, and anywhere necessary. You can apply it with your hands. You can also apply the product with a kabuki brush and really take the time to buff it into your skin to create this natural shimmer. If you are applying it with either your hands or the brush, please use some gloves. Remember to wipe the palms of your hands. During the month of December, I did a video on it. I will include the video. Please watch the video to get more tips and find out about the glow for my face. I do not know if I will ever do a foundation routine, so at least you can watch this. I will also include some videos for you guys to get a better appreciation of the "GLOW EFFECT" of Laguna by Nars.   If you decide to purchase this product, remember that you can always ask for a sample first. Feel free to share your experiences with me and if you do discover another great body illuminator by NARS, remember sharing is caring. On that note, I will kindly ask that you share this post if you enjoyed it, if you want me to write more, if you want to promote this blog. My success truly rests on the shoulders of every single one of you, so please support me. Until my next tip or my new purchase, thank you. Bisou. Bisou. Marlene
